Join our team as a Maintenance Technician, where you'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility's mechanical systems. You’ll be responsible for repair, preventative maintenance, and factory upkeep. Your expertise will support prompt repairs, uphold preventative maintenance schedules, and maintain housekeeping and organizational standards. You will be the point of contact for updating departments on the status of all operating equipment and will collaborate with vendors, riggers, and millwrights for proper equipment installation.

Essential Duties:

  • Safety First: Adhere to safety practices and procedures at all times.
  • Implement the Preventative Maintenance program according to guidelines.
  • Service equipment, including cold headers, heat treatment furnaces, plating lines, high-speed sorting equipment, collation systems, conveyors, and motors.
  • Proactively anticipate and resolve problems.
  • Follow Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) procedures and stored energy reduction guidelines.
  • Contribute to and manage continuous improvement projects.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues as they arise.
  • Operate fork trucks, man-lifts, shop fabrication equipment, and power hand tools.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical systems, and servo motors.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Experience with proactive maintenance systems (CMMS).
  • Ability to interpret basic electrical prints.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting electrical control circuits.
  • Experience with the installation and upgrading of systems and equipment.
  • Knowledge of electrical standards.
  • Intermediate computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office.
  • Basic welding and fabrication skills.
  • Good mechanical reasoning.

Education or Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Related certifications preferred; electrical certification is a plus.
  • Experience training junior apprentices in equipment repair and maintenance.
